Washington
State University library serves its members with a wide range of facilities.
Our library is a huge form of information store or information warehouse not only
for its students, but also for its staff, faculty and outside members. The
library makes each and every educational book available for it's students and
has 500-800 copies of each book. This is done so that the students can find any
book they want in the library shelf anytime. Apart from providing the textbooks
for the students, the library also provides a wide range of interesting novels
and storybooks (not comics), including the years best sellers for its faculty,
staff and outside members. The
university library also provides its students with computers that are used
by the students to surf the electronic journals, online catalog, to check the
availability and the code number of the desired books. These computers are also
available during the free time to check emails. The
library also provides lockers for the in-home students and for public use.
These lockers are generally located on the ground floor for the undergraduates,
on the mezzanine floor for the graduate students, and on the first floor for the
public. These lockers assigned on first-come, first serve basis, and are bounded
with a special set of rules and instructions. In
order to be an active member of the library, all you need to do is issue a library
card. However, for those who are already students of the university, or are
directly or indirectly associated with the university do not have to get a new
library card. The ID card also serves as a library card. While those who are outsiders,
and are interested in issuing books from our library for them, a form has to be
filled up with some fees as a security to avail the membership of the library.
The library refunds this fee to the respective person when the membership ends.
The
library of the Washington State University is and will always try to provide
its students, faculty, staff and all its members with the best service possible.
